FIRST THREE SONGS FREE

The practice room
for guitarists.

Everything a guitarist practises with, in one place. Split a song into its parts — guitar, bass, drums and vocals — and see its chords, key and tempo. Then tune up, keep time with the metronome, follow step-by-step guitar lessons, write your own tabs and record your takes.

3 songs free

A free account is all it takes — an email and a password. Your first 3 songs are free, and both analyses run on every song you add: MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG or M4A, up to 100 MB.

Sing it like the record.

Practise your vocals on the songs you love, and see how close you are to the original singer. OnPitch draws the singer's melody from the recording itself, listens while you sing, turns your line green the moment you are within two semitones, and scores every pass against your last one — so you can see yourself getting better.

Two ways into the same song.

The singing

Every note of the melody in order, with your own voice drawn over the top of it.

The chords

Every change, the key and the tempo — with bar lines, and a click that follows the song instead of a fixed grid.

Both run on the same upload, and switching between them is instant — because you work out that you wanted the chords after hearing the melody.

Write it down. Play it back.

Write tab for guitar or bass a note at a time, or drop in a whole chord by its name. Read it as a clean page and print it, or press play: the bar you are on lights up, the page moves with you, and there is a click, a count-in and a slower speed when you need one. Every tab is kept in your account, on every device you sign in on.

Built for the bar you keep missing.

A quarter speed, same key

Slow any song down to a quarter of its speed and it stays in the key it was recorded in.

Loop the two bars

Drag across the graph and it repeats until you have it. Slow and looped is how anything hard gets learned.

Mute the singer, or the band

The voice and the backing each have their own volume, and Song parts gives the drums, the bass, the guitar and the piano a fader each. Take a part out and play it yourself.

Tune up, warm up, then work.

A tuner

Chromatic, bass, ukulele, and guitar in standard, drop D, half a step down, DADGAD and open G. Through a microphone, or an electric straight into an audio interface.

A practice room

Find your range once. Then scales, intervals and held notes at your own tempo, with a guide tone and a click to keep you honest.

Your songs

Everything you have put through it, searchable, each one showing what it knows.

Learn guitar, one step at a time.

Thirty-two short lessons in nine sections: holding the guitar, tuning up, the open chords and their minors, power chords, the notes on the neck, the minor and major pentatonic scales, and keys. Every step comes with its drawing or its tab, the tuner and the click are one press away, and the course remembers where you stopped — on every device you sign in on.

Record your own song.

Four tracks in the browser. Lay down the guitar, then sing over it — the tracks you have already recorded play back while you record the next. Move, cut and copy what you played, fade it in and out, set a tempo and a click, and when it sounds right, mix it down to WAV or AAC. Every take is saved to your account as you go. Headphones on: the microphone hears your speakers.

A song takes a few minutes, not seconds. Splitting the recording apart is the slow part, and the upload screen says so before you wait for it.

Your file is deleted once the analysis is done. What is kept is the analysis and the parts we split out for you to play along with.
